Arnold- Patient Care Technician

I have been with Doctors for Visual Freedom for more than a year now and what amazes me are all the different and effective treatment options Dr. Golden is able to offer his patients. I’m very thankful and happy I am able to assist our patients achieve their best possible vision. Whether it is with glasses, contact lenses, or laser vision correction such as LASIK or PRK. I also love working for a team and with a Doctor who is concerned about doing the right thing for his patients. In this past year I have had the opportunity to help our patients receive the best care possible for patients with diseases/conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, thyroid disorders, headaches/migraines and so much more.

As the newest member of the team, I am fascinated by ophthalmology field.  It relates to all fields of medicine, and we are able to help people with a much wider range of problems than I would have imagined.  Between both Dr. Golden and my co-workers, I am learning new things every day to contribute to my scientific background.  As rewarding as it is to assist in treating the ophthalmology patients, I also find the cosmetic side of our practice quite enjoyable.  The creams and lotions that we carry have significantly improved my own skin, and I enjoy educating patients about the quality ingredients and scientific backing of our skin care line. In addition to these topical treatments, we also provide Botox and fillers to restore a more youthful appearance. Although the treatments may take years off of their faces, patients can leave the office knowing that even their closest friends or family will not be able to suspect that they have had any work done.

I have been working in the medical field for over 10 years and bring to Doctors For Visual Freedom a wide array of experience both in clinical knowledge as well as administrative expertise. Since joining the team, I have learned a great deal about eye care as well as skin care. I worked with a dermatology group previously and it wasn’t until I learned more about our line of Skin Medica that I have become an avid believer in a skincare line.  My personal experience with fillers has been extremely positive.  No one that I did not tell knew that I had fillers but many people said that I look younger and more rested.  

Nate- Optician

I bring my optical experience to Doctors For Visual Freedom as the new Managing Optician.  Previously I worked at an optical chain.  Many non-medical optical offices are only worried about selling glasses to everyone.  Dr. Golden’s first rule is to, “Do the right thing.” I like the difference here as the primary goal is to do what is best for the patient under every situation.  I also have a wide range of labs and materials to fit the needs of everyone.  One of the new parts of my job has made me the expert in fitting EnChroma glasses which help those with certain color vision deficits to see colors like never before.

David-Optician/Patient Care Consultant

As a new member of the Doctors For Visual Freedom Eye Care Team, I feel privileged to be working with such a caring, vibrant and knowledgeable group of people.  Of course we are led by our Doctor of Ophthalmology, Mark Golden, MD.  I have been in the Ophthalmic field for over 15 years assisting doctors with patient care and education. The fact that Dr. Golden has so many years of experience in Lasik, PRK, Cataract, Glaucoma, Diabetic eye care, etc. along with aesthetic procedures makes this an exciting practice to be with, for employees and patients alike. The practice also offers a varied selection of frame styles and designs in our optical. Plano designer sunglasses are also part of our optical.  I am happy that we can offer our clients, great care and service.  I look forward to a chance to meet all of our patients.
